Artist:

LAM, Miu Ling

Co-Presented By:

Videotage, K11, and CityU Wearable Innovation Lab

About the Workshop:

What can you do with some LEDs and a needle? Soft Circuit! Creating WEARABLE electronic circuits by sewing with needles and threads is the craftiest and geekiest thing you can do. It is an unique way to engage diverse audience, especially female and young people, who are normally not tech-lovers to do interesting odd things with electronics. In this event, the artist will share her experience in crafting DIY sensors, actuators and wearable devices using non-traditional materials. She will also show participants how to create a wearable device that consists of programmable LEDs and can unveil hidden messages or patterns based on human's persistence-of-vision. All participants will receive a set of materials for FREE, which includes wearable microcontroller board, sewable LEDs, conductive thread, and battery.
