DR ISAAC LEUNG & IVEN CHEUNG

Dr. Isaac Leung, Chairman of Videotage & Co-Chair of ISEA2016 Satellite event, is a practicing

artist, curator and researcher in art and culture. Leung received an Honorary Fellowship of a 

Bachelor of Fine Arts at the New Media Art Department of the School of the Art Institute of 

Chicago and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, the University of the Arts London. 

His passion in exploring issues in contemporary art began during his time in college. During 

1998-2008, his artworks were exhibited in over 30 venues across the globe. His works were 

featured on National Public Radio (USA), and in Agence France-Presse (France), Chicago 

Tribune (USA), NY Arts Magazine (USA), Chicago Readers (USA) and the South China Morning 

Post (Hong Kong).

 

Iven Cheung is a professional art administrator and curator. Between 2008 and 2011, he served at Videotage, a non-profit interdisciplinary artist collective as curatorial assistant and video archivist. During this period, he contributed to the establishment of VMAC (Videotage Media Art Collection), an extensive archive of video and media art from Hong Kong. In 2011, he joined the curatorial team of One World Exposition and organized the first substantial project that aimed at exploring the development of Chinese media art from the regional, national and global perspectives. He later joined the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong as project coordinator to kick start a new series of co-curricular initiatives and admission marketing campaign. He is currently serving at the Hong Kong Institute of Education’s Museum of Education as Assistant Curator.
